Bentley Community Schools Transportation Changes
We are making two announcements today to give parents/guardians a heads-up about upcoming changes to transportation.
First, we are making mid-season updates to our bus routes. Some students no longer need bus services, and new students have created the need for new stops. This has resulted in stop changes that may affect stop times and may include new route names:
Changes will be finalized and announced on the afternoon of Monday, February 24th.
The new stop schedule will begin on the morning of Tuesday, February 25th.
Recognizing that accidents, traffic, trains, weather, and other conditions may affect stop times, we ask that students be at their bus stop at least five minutes early to help us stay on schedule.
To ensure that you are receiving all transportation related notifications, please be sure that the schools have your current email address and mobile phone number (for texts). You can update that information in ParentVUE (Website or App) or by contacting the school offices (https://www.bentleyschools.org/).
Second, bus driver training has begun on the final stages of implementing the new transportation system so that parents will be able to get up-to-the-minute stop time information using a smartphone app. The app will be officially rolled out in test phases by route, beginning with the Red routes. Other routes will be announced in the coming weeks once we are confident that the app is working properly.
Official Red routes’ app testing will begin on the morning of Wednesday, February 26th. Another communication will be sent on Tuesday, February 25th to the Red routes’ parents/guardians on how to access the app.
If your student no longer requires transportation or if you need any other transportation assistance, please contact:

Love was in the air for the valentines parties at Barhitte

All Bentley Community School District events after 4:30 PM today are canceled tonight due to the coming snow this afternoon/evening. Be safe and stay warm!

On Friday, our Kindergartners welcomed a naturalist from ForMar to teach them about weather. They also got to meet Rosie the box turtle

These Kindergartners made good use of their day in school this week by enjoying some STEM activities. They sequenced how to make a snowman and coded the robot to follow the correct order. They also engineered and did experiments with snowball (marshmallow) shooters.

Here are a few pictures of the surprise indoor snowball fight these Kindergartners had last week. Do you think they had fun?🤣

Our Barhitte students want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our Bentley Boosters and everyone who donated equipment and supplies! Your generosity has made a big difference, and our kids are truly grateful.
If you’d like to contribute, it’s not too late! Please feel free to contact the Boosters at 810.228.1679 or 810.275.4550.
Our Boosters are just getting started, so we encourage you to stay connected! Be sure to follow the Boosters’ Facebook page for updates, opportunities to join, and ways to get involved. Thank you for your continued support!
