What incredible dedication! After 11 years of tirelessly moderating the Bentley Parent Facebook page, its amazing creator, Dawn McDaniel, has decided to close it down.
When she started the page, it filled a specific need that, thankfully, no longer exists. Running a Facebook group for over a decade, 365 days a year (that's 4,015 days!), is a monumental undertaking, and we are so incredibly grateful for her unwavering commitment to our community. Thank you for everything you've done!

Summer school students wrapped up the first session by cooling down with a water war!!💦💦

Summer break just began, but we are posting supply lists in case you want to hit the "Back to School" sales that I'm sure will be starting soon.

Summer school students are having a blast with all kinds of learning activities. They got to make water gel pets compliments of Miss Cobb... thank you! Aaaand listen to some great fluency and expression from Ms. Smith's students who performed a Reader's Theater. 🌞

Students in Mrs. Jensen's summer school class show off the flyers they created to entertain and persuade other students to attend the Fun Fest they are planning. All students attending summer school voted for their favorite flyer and Oliver and Ariana won!

If your student has medication in the office at the school, please pick that up by tomorrow at 2:45 PM at BMS & BHS and by 3:30 PM at BES.

Does any of this look familiar? It's from our "Lost and Found" box. If your child is missing something or you want to come look and/or claim an item, feel free to stop at Barhitte anytime between 9 am - 3 pm this Wednesday, June 11th through Friday, June 13th. Items that are not claimed by Friday at 3 will be donated to charity.

The final STEM Hour for the year had our kindergartners competing to build the tallest house using only index cards and tape, investigating symmetry using shapes, and programming Indis (little cars) using cards and spheros using the iPads. Thank you to the parent helpers who helped make these special Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math activities possible.

ATTENTION 3RD & 4TH GRADE PARENTS
Two different times were posted for the awards assembly tomorrow, June 5th. The correct time for the assembly is 1:00 pm. Doors will open at 12:45 pm
The first and second grade awards is also tomorrow at 9:00 am. Doors will open at 8:45 am.

Tomorrow is the last day for Tat the Student. Reminder that tattoos need to be applied at home. Students are welcome to wear their tattoos with the staff on Monday, June 9.

Another fabulous year for Barhitte’s 4th graders on Mackinac Island! Even with cloudy skies, the fun, activities, and smiles were shining bright! We all had an amazing day!

Kona Ice was a big hit at field day, too! Thank you so much to all the folks who volunteered, who supported this fundraiser and to those who "paid it forward" to ensure that everyone who wanted a Kona Ice got a Kona Ice!!

More pictures from the Barhitte field day...enjoy!

The weather was perfect for yesterday's field day at Barhitte. Thanks to the many staff and volunteers who helped make this a day where kids could wear themselves out having fun!

2nd grade field trip to Sloan Museum continue (last 7 pictures)...enjoy!

Mrs. Baxter's and Mrs. Smith's second graders enjoyed a fun field trip to the Sloan Museum, exploring scientific concepts, especially in physics. Since we've been learning about states of matter, we also learned how to make our own ice cream—what a delicious way to learn!
