Attention Bentley Community:
It is that time of year and we are in the swing of basketball season!
It was brought to my attention that we had both adults and students last night that were struggling with the rules and expectations set forth by our district and the GAC.
This message will serve as an important reminder for fans at our basketball games.
As we come together to support our Bulldogs, it is important to remember that we are all representatives of Bentley and that our behavior reflects who we are. This year we have seen a shift in the behavior of many and this message is the first step in curbing that shift.
To ensure a positive and respectful environment for everyone, we have established clear expectations for all fans. We ask for your cooperation and understanding of the following guidelines:
1. Respect for All:
Disrespectful behavior towards adults, staff, players, coaches, ticket takers, and officials will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, verbal abuse, derogatory comments, and any form of harassment.
We expect all spectators to treat each other, as well as members of the opposing teams and their fans, with respect.
2. Adherence to Rules:
It is crucial that everyone follows the rules and regulations set forth by the school and the athletic department and the GAC.
I will add those on to this message, so it is clear for all
Any form of disruptive behavior, including but not limited to, throwing objects, use of profanity, or any action that could endanger others, will result in immediate removal from the game.
If you leave a game you will not be allowed back in (NO EXCEPTIONS)
3. Removal and Consequences:
Fans who cannot adhere to these expectations will be subject to removal from the current game and may face further consequences, including being barred from attending future events at Bentley High School.
We encourage all attendees to report any incidents of disrespectful or disruptive behavior to a member of the school staff or event security immediately.
We need to work together to make this happen. We are asking everyone to be part of the solution and not part of the problem.
Thanks and we look forward to seeing you at upcoming games!
Have a good one!
