PrinCipal's Message

Welcome To Barhitte Elementary!

Barhitte Elementary is a great place to learn.  One of the biggest  advantages of our small school is that we truly know our students and their families. We love our students and we build relationships that last a lifetime.  We have a solid Multi-Tiered System of Support designed to help all students reach their potential no matter where they are academically and/or socially.

Barhitte Elementary is fully equipped with the technology required for educating young, eager minds. We have new smart boards in every classroom and each child is assigned either an iPad or Chromebook.  Recent curriculum innovations include a newly adopted reading program and we are in our third year of using the Bridges Math Program. We also have numerous exciting classroom activities, assemblies, popcorn Fridays, Trivia Tuesdays, field trips and field day.  Family nights include open house, science night, singing programs, literacy playdates and Bingo night, along with Parent-Teacher conferences which are held both in the fall and the spring.

Every student participates in art, STEM, music, physical education, health, library and SEL (social-emotional learning). These programs are an integral part of our curriculum.

Barhitte students can participate in our after school tutoring and summer school programs.  We also offer the following extra curricular activities after school - Robotics, Student Council, Drama Club and Math Hoops.  Another great advantage is that ALL students receive free breakfast and lunch!
