You may have sensed a theme when looking at my education. Yes, I am a
die-hard Michigan State fan. It is only natural considering my family.
When you, your mother, father and younger brother all attended MSU, you
feel a certain connection. Then throw in the fact that my uncle, Dr. Maleck, is a Professor of Civil Engineering at MSU.... I think that you get the point.
I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. I guess that it is
destiny considering I am a clone of my father who retired after his 41st
year of teaching. The path to education wasn't a straight one
though. I flirted with the idea of becoming an engineer, but decided
that I like people more than I like things. So I got back on the path
where I belonged and now am at Bentley having a great year.
Besides teaching,
I am an avid sports fan. I enjoy watching all sports - yes, even
golf. I also had the pleasure of coaching volleyball for seven years
and softball for three.
My time for sports became limited when in February of 2008 my son,
Benjamin was born. November of 2010 brought our second miracle,
Sarah. I am truly amazed at how much joy these two wonderful children
have brought to my life.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me! I look forward to meeting
family and friends of my students throughout the school year. If you
should need to contact me, please call at (810) 591-9547 or email at pkelbel@bentleyschools.org.
